The probability of false rejection (FRR) does not exceed 0.0001% (1 in 10,000).
What Do These Numbers Mean?
- False Acceptance Rate (FAR): The probability that the system incorrectly accepts an unauthorized person. Lower is better for security.
- False Rejection Rate (FRR): The probability that the system incorrectly rejects an authorized person. Lower is better for user convenience.
